Stuart Davis

Stuart Davis, known by some as the “Punk Monk” is not only a cutting-edge folk/rock singer-songwriter but is an artist, writer, and actor as well as a Buddhist practitioner who relishes the profane as much as he does the sacred.

He commissioned an all-black jumbo guitar, and before the guitar was assembled he painted on the inside of the guitar one of his totem “Crow” paintings. Here is the painting prior to assembly:

Painted on the top of a broken or cut guitar body is a large white chalkboard-like drawing of a running dinosaur, with the picture divided into sections by the guitar's broken edges.
A man performing with a guitar and singing into a microphone in a music venue.
Black acoustic guitar lying on a beige satin fabric surface.

“Cannot possibly say how BLOWN AWAY I am by this master-crafted vortex of sound. It is a life-changing event, holding this amazing instrument! Really, just leaves me speechless.

It really is a masterwork in every regard. From that amazing, big rich huge sound, to the stunningly gorgeous detail of every visual/physical feature. It is a life-changer. Many many songs in this baby.”
