Mike Gordon

Known as the bass player for Phish, commissioned this 5-string acoustic bass for some of his solo work and for his duo work with Leo Kottke. It has a cedar top with composite bracing. At the request of Mike Gordon and guitar virtuoso, Dean Mcgraw, I set about making an acoustic bass guitar that has punch, power, and roar. Using laminate composite bracing, these basses pack a rich bass sound into a guitar-sized body. Shown here are Dean Magraw's OM-sized 4 string bass with a bear-claw sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Mike Gordon and his cat Flash Gordon are playing his 5-string bass with a cedar top, rosewood back and sides, and a sound port.

"It's the greatest-sounding acoustic bass I've ever played."
