John Doyle 10-String Guizouki

This 10-string ‘Guizouki’ has a cedar ‘double top’, graphite laminate bracing, Macassar ebony back and sides, and Koa binding. To get the lower course tuned comfortably to “C”, the scale length is 27 ½”.

Irish guitar legend John Doyle commissioned this 10-String guitar/bouzouki to round out his repertoire. He wanted an instrument that played like a traditional Irish Bouzouki but not only had the tones of a guitar but could be used for back-up rhythm work as well.
